Weekly Drop-In Homeschool Classes
Yes, And! Academy is a weekly Improv and Communications educational enrichment program for students in grades 3-12 that develops communication, creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and public speaking skills through structured improvisational theatre activities.
Students participate in theatre games, improvisation exercises, storytelling, character development, and collaborative performance activities designed to strengthen confidence while improving listening, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Each class encourages students to think creatively, respond spontaneously, communicate effectively, and support one another in a positive, encouraging environment. Lessons are adapted for a variety of experience levels, making the program appropriate for both new and experienced performers.
Instruction is provided by an experienced theatre educator, Steven Wade Hair, through Breakthrough Theatre Company, where students have developed confidence and communication skills for more than fifteen years.

Young Playwrights Academy is a creative writing program that introduces students to the art of playwriting through hands-on, collaborative learning experiences. Students learn how to develop original characters, create engaging dialogue, structure scenes, build conflict, and tell compelling stories for the stage.
Through brainstorming activities, writing exercises, script development, peer collaboration, and guided feedback, students strengthen creative writing, communication, critical thinking, and storytelling skills while discovering the unique process of writing for live performance.
Students have opportunities to share their work through script readings and classroom performances, helping them build confidence as both writers and collaborators. Instruction is appropriate for students of all experience levels and encourages creativity, imagination, and self-expression in a supportive learning environment.
