About the event
The Kent State shootings, also known as the "May 4 massacre," occurred on May 4, 1970, when the Ohio National Guard fired on a crowd of student protesters at Kent State University in Ohio. The shootings resulted in the deaths of four students and the wounding of nine others. The incident was a direct result of student demonstrations against President Nixon's decision to expand the Vietnam War into Cambodia.
May 4, 2025 will be the 55th Anniversary of this tragic day.
The Breakthrough Theatre Company will present the play, "May 4th Voices", on the following dates and times:
