About the event

The Breakthrough Theatre Company will hold a staged reading of the Jim Danek play, "Evelyn's Girls", for three performances only:


Friday, January 30, 8 p.m.

Saturday, January 31, 8 p.m.

Sunday, February 1, 3 p.m.


EVELYN'S GIRLS takes place in rural northern Wisconsin in the fall of 1972. Evelyn, a twice-divorced mother of five is trying to raise four teenage daughters on her own, and waiting for her son to return from Vietnam, while still maintaining her own sanity. Throw in a childrens' bible class teacher with a crush on Evelyn, a former movie star mother with lots of Hollywood stories, and a neighbor boy discovering kissing wth Evelyn's youngest daughter, and you have a play sprinkled throughout with moments of marvelous humor that will touch the hearts of all ages.
