Lust. Treachery. Secrets. Passions run high in this new adaptation of Seneca’s classic story of the palace of Troezen. When Queen Phaedra has been cursed to fall madly in love with her step-son, Hippolytus, no one is immune to disaster, especially when her husband, King Theseus, returns home from five years of voyaging. Few will be left unscathed.
This hot, new version of the story sizzles from Project no. 19 Performance Company (AJAX 2022, I LOVE LIZ 2023), after receiving much praise from readings with Whiskey Theatre Factory, and will for sure leave its audiences with whiplash.
