The Breakthrough Theatre Company will hold auditions for "Seussical the Musical" on the following dates and times:

Friday, May 6, 7-9 p.m.
Saturday, May 7, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Monday, May 9, 7-9 p.m.

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

To audition, prepare and perform 16-32 bars of any upbeat musical theater song. You MAY sing songs from the show. Have a second song prepared in case we need to hear more. We will NOT have a piano accompanist, so sing with a track on your phone.

We are looking for ALL AGES! All roles are unpaid, but we collect cash and Venmo tips at each performance that is split among the cast.

Show Dates and Times:
August 5-29, 2022
Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m.
*you must be available for ALL performances
